A Vision Takes Root
O’Leaf began with a simple longing: to find a floral arrangement that felt timeless, serene, and refined. Not too much, not too little – just beautifully present.
Co-founder Olivia (Olief) Everts searched for flowers that could bring lasting beauty to her home and workspace. Yet nowhere could she find what she envisioned: flowers thoughtfully arranged, designed to stay. Guided by her love for interiors and organic design, Olivia immersed herself in Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging.
Much more than placing flowers in a vase, she learned that in this meditative, minimalist practice, flowers, stems, and vessels become part of one harmonious composition – rooted in balance, asymmetry, and space. Under the guidance of a passionate Ikebana master, she realized that flowers could be more than decoration – they could become art. This vision grew into the foundation of O’Leaf.
Bringing joy and beauty to interiors - one forever flower at a time.
A Life in Flowers
For as long as he can remember, Erik Haar has felt deeply connected to nature. As a child, he returned from the outdoors with handfuls of flowers, twigs, and leaves – carefully chosen, instinctively composed and often gifted to his mother. These early compositions weren’t bound by rules, but by intuition.
That instinct grew into a career spanning over 30 years. Erik has created floral projects across Europe – from weddings to fashion weeks – and collaborated with renowned flower studios. Along the way, he developed a signature style: light yet grounded, artful yet precise.
His practice extends beyond floristry into vase design, always treating the vessel as an essential part of the whole. For Erik, a floral arrangement is never just decoration, but a dialogue between form, space and stillness.
Together at O’Leaf
When they met, their visions aligned seamlessly: the longing for lasting beauty, the artistry of floral composition and the belief that flowers could become sculptural presences in a space. Together, they founded O’Leaf Flower Studio – a concept where enduring arrangements are created not just with beauty, but with meaning.
Our style, inspired by nature
Asymmetry.
Visual balance through asymmetrical compositions forms a dynamic, harmonious relationship.
Space.
Empty space between elements – lets the composition breathe – like the silence between musical notes – it gives meaning to the arrangement.
Minimalism.
Beauty in restraint. Each stem, branch, and flower is carefully chosen and placed with intention – allowing space for balance and stillness.
